After she celebrated losing 500 pounds, Tammy Slaton has shared her emotional process through social media, as the journey has not only been a physical struggle, but above all a mental and emotional one.
It was with a TikTok video that Tammy Slaton described as a welcome to her journey in which she expressed in a very positive way her happiness at beginning this new stage of her life together with new followers, whom she will try to encourage to live her path in the best way.

The 1000-Lb. Sisters star, 38 shared the reason why she takes a lot of selfies and pictures of herself saying that it isn’t “because I look good — well, I do a little bit — but mostly because I want to remember how big I was, what I looked like.”
Tammy Slaton confessed that during her process of trying to lose weight she had an unpleasant experience with alcohol consumption, something that led her to question all the progress she had made at that time.

“I think I was trying to be so focused on losing weight that I lost myself. Lost who I was and I turned to alcohol instead of food. At the same time, I was still eating. So I was doing both. Damage in two different ways.”
“It would be so easy to fall back into bad habits and gain all the weight back but then what was this all for? Waste of time, waste of money, wasted effort,” she continued.
There is no doubt that this whole journey challenges you as a person in ways that you had no idea about. In this sense, Tammy shared something that we had rarely heard from her.
“I had a lot of demons, inner demons that I had to fight and I’m still fighting, You’re not alone. You can do anything once you put your mind to it. Never give up.”
Tammy Slaton also highlighted the importance of having positive support, something he is trying to do now from his platform to inspire other people.
