We have won 41 medals in these Olympics, and we’re hoping for more! Today, we add bronze medals for team USA in archery and sailing.

Two New Bronze Medals for Team USA in Archery and Sail

Casey Kaufhold and Brady Ellison, secured the bronze medal in the archery mixed team competition. They defeated India with a 6-2 victory in the bronze medal match after a semifinal loss to Germany.

This marks the first Olympic medal for a U.S. female archer since 1988, and it’s a fantastic achievement for Kaufhold, who had faced an early upset in the individual competition.

Ellison, competing in his fifth Olympics, now has four medals and continues his quest for gold in the men’s individual tournament.

In Sailing, Ian Barrows and Hans Henken secured the bronze medal in the Men’s Skiff. This achievement marks the US Sailing Team’s first Olympic medal in sailing since the Rio 2016 Games.

Their close rivals from Ireland faced an OCS (over the line early) penalty, opening the door for Barrows and Henken to inch closer to the bronze medal position. They sailed skillfully, overtaking competitors and soaring into fourth place, securing the coveted bronze.

In the Men’s Skiff (49er) event, the gold medal went to the New Zealand pair Isaac McHardie and William McKenzie. The silver medal was secured by the Irish team.
