Israel Denounces Violence Against Babies, Hamas Denies It

Israel denounced this Thursday the beheading of some babies, as well as the burning and murder of children in the “horrifying and monstrous” attack by the Islamist group Hamas that last Saturday sparked the war in the region. The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released several photos of babies burned at the hands of Hamas on its social networks this Thursday. In addition, a senior official in that country’s Army said that he himself found a decapitated baby in one of the Israeli communities near Gaza and that other colleagues of his saw more, without giving a specific figure.

Hamas denies massacre of babies in Israel

Yesterday, the Islamist group Hamas denied having “killed children, beheaded and attacked civilians” during its attack on Israel on Saturday, in response to “fabricated accusations” by Israeli soldiers about massacres carried out in kibbutzs by these militants. Through an official statement, Hamas defended that its members only “attacked the Israeli military and security apparatus, which is a legitimate objective.”

“We firmly affirm the falsehood of the accusations invented and propagated by some Western media outlets that espouse the Zionist narrative, including claims of killing children, beheading and attacking civilians.”

These statements come shortly after the Israeli Army denounced that Hamas members had murdered “women, children, babies and the elderly who were brutally massacred in the manner of the Islamic State” during the attack on the Kfar Aza kibbutz.

Hamas: What happened in Kfar Aza and Beeri?

The trail of the Hamas massacre in southern Israel still shocks the country and the world, where Israeli deaths exceed 1,200, more than in the entire Second Intifada; the above, while the Gaza Strip is destroyed without electricity or food and on the brink of the abyss with collapsed hospitals. Images of corpses strewn on the ground have returned to Israeli screens, at the Beeri kibbutz, where emergency services say they found mutilated, tortured, and burned bodies at the scene, similar to those seen at the nearby Kfar Aza kibbutz, which has gone around the world amid great controversy.

As revealed by the authorities, the Hamas militiamen who took control of Beeri on Saturday had disguised themselves in Israeli army uniforms and began shooting at military units approaching the kibbutz, where they took about 40 people hostage. “It was the largest massacre of all the communities in this area,” said a military spokesman. In that small community of no more than a thousand inhabitants, medical services have rescued more than a thousand bodies and some residents are still missing. Due to its proximity to Gaza, just five kilometers from the fence, Beeri was one of the first centers devastated by the thousand militiamen who attacked Israel early Saturday morning and was one of the last to be completely retaken by Israeli forces.
