Parisian protesters have threatened to poop in the Seine River as a demonstration, this on the eve of the Olympic Games to be held from July 26 to August 11.
Are Parisian Protesters Pooping the Seine?
There is exactly one month until the 2024 Olympic Games begin in Paris, however, some Parisians who are against Emmanuel Macron’s government and its management of the budget, have decided to protest in a very peculiar way.
Parisian Protestants made a call a few days ago through social media, where they encouraged citizens to go poop in the Seine River on June 23.
@zozomccormack the 💩 paris protest is happening tomorrow!!! will president emmanuel macron be able to swim in the seine before the paris olympics..? very interested to see how this plays out! #parisprotest #parisseine #seineparis #seineriver #laseine #emmanuelmacron #parisolympics2024 #parisolympics #olympics2024 ♬ original sound – ZOE IN PARIS 🇫🇷
With the hashtag #JeChieDansLaSeineLe23Juin, Parisians made their ingenious protest idea known. Even the protestants made a website that helps you calculate the exact time you should go poop the Seine so that you arrive “on time” for the event where Macron, and the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, would swim.

Why the outrage with the authorities?
The Parisian rage began for several reasons, however, the one that has to do with the Seine River specifically is because according to French media reports, at least 1.4 billion dollars have been spent since 2016 on supposedly cleaning and eliminating the pollution of the water that passes through the river.
This caused outrage among Parisian Protestants, since, despite the enormous amount of resources that have been spent on making water cleaner, no results for the better have been seen. And worse yet, even before the idea of the protest, scientific testing of the river water already showed fecal material within the samples.

The fact that the water is this polluted makes the Seine River a danger for athletes who would compete in it in the Olympic Games in sports such as triathlon.
