There are three types of people in the world: those who believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life, those who do not, and those who even claim to be part of it, such as the strange cases of Dolores Barrios and the then-child Boriska Kipriyanovich, who claimed to have come from Mars. And just as there is much mystery surrounding this subject, there is also much controversy, as there are researchers and sects that claim its alleged veracity, such as the Raelian Movement.
The Raelian Movement is a cult that claims that the whole of humanity was genetically created by an alien civilization called Elohim, which means “those who came from heaven”. This UFO religion claimed to have successfully cloned the first human baby named Eve in 2002.
In that year, in a statement, CNN mentioned that Brigitte Boisselier, the scientific director of Clonaid, an alleged medical company linked to this sect, had not shown DNA evidence or photographs of the baby, so everything was put in question and currently many consider it a fraud.
Who Are the Elohim?
The sect, founded in 1973 and with more than a thousand members worldwide, claims that Elohim extraterrestrials are the creators of life on Planet Earth through genetic engineering and believe they will return once they have established an embassy in Jerusalem.
Their leader is Claude Vorilhon, a former French journalist who claims to have been abducted twice to bring “the message” to mankind. The man calls himself Rael, hence the name Raelian Movement.
The Raelians’ Beliefs and Lifestyle
Supposedly the lifestyle of the members of this movement, who call themselves Raelians, is far from tobacco, drugs, and alcohol. They additionally believe in free sexuality to “be able to experience a cosmic, infinite and absolute orgasm.”
“As long as men can be topless in public, women should have the same constitutional right. Otherwise, men should wear something to hide their breasts,” says Rael, founder of GoTopless.org and spiritual leader of the Raelian Movement. So far this movement is so controversial that even in France it is considered dangerous, as they claim that it is a complete act of brainwashing.
