If you’re young enough to not have used MetroFlog as a teenager, the name Ronald McDonald may seem completely foreign to you. However, this iconic character was for years the face of the famous burger restaurant.
The clown was so famous that he not only appeared in television commercials, magazine ads and billboards, but he even had several statues placed outside some branches of the chain around the world.
People even lined up to sit next to Ronald and take a photo, images that today have only become simple memories of the existence of this strange character.
And after a long journey of more than 53 years together, the fast food company suddenly announced in 2016 that Ronald McDonald would stop being the face of the brand without, at first, giving any reason for the big change.

Shortly after the news, a disturbing trend broke out in the United States and then in other parts of the world that motivated people to dress up as clowns and go out into the streets to play pranks on strangers, making them believe they would be killed.
Soon, what started as a joke ended up becoming an issue when a person dressed as a clown and carrying a kind of knife chased some children, a situation that led the restaurant to make the final decision of removing Ronald from everything related to the brand.
Ronald McDonald’s true ending?
As soon as the final disappearance of Ronald McDonald was announced, stories about it didn’t take long to appear, but to this day only one is the one that continues horrifying the Internet.
The story goes that one night, two gas station workers decided to take a break and sat next to the statue of Ronald McDonald that was located at a branch in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico.

During the conversation, one of the workers mentioned being tired and to his surprise and horror, the Ronald McDonald statue responded: “Me too.”
The story becomes even more sinister when it details that one of the workers died immediately due to shock, while the other fell into a coma.
According to the most dramatic versions of the legend, the entire event was captured on video, but the company would have paid a considerable sum to eliminate any evidence.
Since then, the story has circulated on the web for years, fueling mystery and terror around the figure of Ronald McDonald, and although there is no evidence to support the veracity of the events, the legend has left a mark on the Internet.
