The terrifying reason you shouldn’t put a “welcome” sign on your house

The Terrifying Reason You Shouldn’t Put a “Welcome” Sign On Your House

On the eastern side of the United States and Canada are the Appalachian Mountains: an impressive mountain range known for its abundant natural resources… but also because all kinds of supernatural events occur there. At least that’s what people who live in the area say. However, there is one paranormal rule that applies to those who live in Appalachia or anywhere else in the world: never put a “welcome” sign in your driveway.

Many people place a mat, plaque, or some other element that welcomes visitors in their respective language. Although it is almost always done to give a warm and friendly touch to the place where you receive people in your home, it is a bad idea. At least if you believe in spirits and other supernatural entities. When you place a mat that says “Welcome,” you are welcoming everything, the good and the bad.

Morgan, a TikToker who lives in Appalachia, says that everyone warned her about the strange things that happen there, but that no one told her that they could enter her house. It was when someone took up the advice: “Don’t put up a sign or a mat that says ‘welcome’” (or its equivalent in other languages, in case the spirits are also polyglots).

“This is another good little tip that no one is talking about,” Morgan says. “Never put a ‘Welcome’ sign on your door. And this isn’t just an Appalachian rule, it’s a rule anywhere. Many of these things that want to harm us cannot enter unless we welcome them. And look what you just did.” Now you know: it’s time to get rid, with the pain in your heart, of that “welcome” mat that is at the entrance of your house. It’s better.
