Frames, Reveal, Cutout: Here’s How to Use Them

Year after year our favorite apps make changes to the way they work to make their use easier for us, this time it was Instagram’s turn and it left us speechless.

Last Thursday, April 25, the Instagram University was held for the first time in Mexico, an event that takes place internationally, in which content creators and media meet to explore the new functions within the application .

During the event, the platform shared the new functions that will be available, facilitating interaction with the public and the way to create and share content.

What Are the New Instagram Updates?

Frames

 This new function to create stickers will allow you to convert any photo on your device into a Polaroid-type photo. The fun thing about it and the way to generate interaction is that your followers will have to shake their cell phones to reveal the content of the image.

Reveal

To use the new feature, tap the Stickers icon when creating a new Story and choose the ‘Reveal’ sticker. Now, you will be prompted to type a hint that will be shown to your followers about what might be behind your blurred story. Once the story is posted, your followers can see your content only if they DM you. However, you won’t need to approve every DM for your story to be revealed.

Cutout

The Meta-owned social media platform also announced during the event are Cutouts. Cutouts sticker which allow you to convert any photo or video in your gallery into a custom cutout to personalize and give a unique and fun touch to your stories or posts.

Note Topics

To generate even more engagement with your friends, Instagram introduced note topics, a fun way to create notes that motivate your followers to respond. With this feature, the application becomes more dynamic and with active community interaction.

Creator Marketplace

This new space designed for content creators will allow faster and easier connection and collaboration between influencers and brands.
