Residents of Green Head related to local press that the cylinder is about 8 feet wide and between 8 and 10 feet long. The Australian Space Agency said the giant cylinder may have fallen from a “foreign space launch vehicle” and that it would contact other international agencies.
If it is a fuel cylinder, experts believe it could be from an Indian rocket and could contain toxic materials. “To maintain the integrity of the investigation, Western Australian Police officers are currently guarding the object.
