Recently, videos have been circulating on social networks of the Nile River completely painted red, and contrary to what one might think regarding the biblical omen that says that this color predicts a plague in Egypt, this is the amazing reason why it took that color in the last days.
In the Bible, in the Exodus, it is noted that Moses struck the river Nile with his staff, and its waters turned to blood giving rise to the first plague of Egypt. It was there that all the fish died, and the water became unusable.
However, the blood red color that appeared in the Nile River this November 13 has nothing to do with biblical omens or that the Apocalypse is coming. This has a scientific explanation, and here we are going to tell you about it, but first, here are the impressive images.
Why Did the Nile River Turn Red?
Scientific experts have provided a simpler explanation for this seemingly extraordinary phenomenon. Previous studies suggest that the red hue of the Nile River could be attributed to a proliferation of red algae, a natural event that, although astonishing, finds its origin in biological processes.
In previous situations, it has been shown that an abundance of red algae can give bodies of water a certain red hue, puzzling observers and generating speculation about possible biblical events.
Another explanation floating around the Internet indicates that the Nile River has a high concentration of dissolved iron. When the substance mixes with the gas released by earthquakes, the oxide is released and gives the water its red hue.
Given the scientific explanations, there is no shortage of people who speculate that it is an omen that catastrophes may come; however, as some scientists mention, it is not the first time this has happened, and evidently, nothing extraordinary has happened after the waters of the Nile River have been dyed red.
Given the series of catastrophic natural phenomena that are happening lately around the world, many people living in the area point out that it could be an omen, although there is no indication on past occasions that the same phenomenon happens; what do you think?
