A couple of years ago, thousands of people applauded Justin Timberlake‘s statements about the right to decide, what no one knew was his dark secret with Britney Spears.
At a rally in favor of then-presidential candidate Barack Obama, the singer attended with Jessica Biel and expressed his support for the politician; but also stressed the importance of women deciding about their bodies.
“No one should be able to say what you can do with your body,” said the also actor, who took the luxury of joking about it: “I give Jess the right to choose where we’re going to eat all the time. The funny thing is that what the woman chooses is usually the right thing to do.”
After 14 years, the N*SYNC star’s words gained further traction after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, and Jessica Biel, the singer’s current wife wrote:
“I am furious. What happened today is not only a disgusting step backward for women, undermining our ability to make decisions about our own bodies… it’s also dangerous. You didn’t ban abortion; you banned access to SAFE abortion. #BansOffOurBodies.”
But this would only be what we all saw about Justin Timberlake, because apparently, he never imagined that his biggest secret with Britney would come to light, which evidently had him “concerned”…
Britney Aborted Justin Timberlake’s Baby
Before the release of Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman in Me, a couple of events that almost no one knew about were already revealed, but they would have ended with the reputation and peace of some, as is the case of Justin Timberlake.
The Princess of Pop confessed among her writings that when she was 19 years old, she aborted a baby from the actor because “he did not want to be a father.” This was revealed by People magazine, who had access to one of the chapters of the book.
“I loved Justin very much. I always hoped that someday we would have a family. But it was going to be much sooner than planned (…) Justin was definitely not happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were too young,” Britney Spears details in her book.
The singer admits that she currently regrets not having that baby from the man she loved so much simply to please him. “I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby. I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been solely up to me, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure he didn’t want to be a father,” she added.
In addition to the pain of not being on the same path as a couple and having to accept saying goodbye to a child she wanted so badly, she noted that the abortion experience itself was “to this day, one of the most agonizing things I’ve ever felt.”
