Despite the fact that losing weight used to be seen as a drastic transformation difficult to achieve, the reality is that it has become an accessible trend thanks to Ozempic. Kelly Osbourne recently had a child, but she was not exempt from receiving direct questions about her physical appearance.
Recently, an interviewer asked her how she managed to lose so much weight in such a short time, to which Kelly Osbourne immediately responded as the intrusive question apparently made her uncomfortable.
“I know everybody thinks I took Ozempic. I did not take Ozempic,” Kelly told the interviewer.
“I don’t know where that came from. My mom took Ozempic,” she added.
Osbourne has previously made serious statements about her opinion on Ozempic, saying that people that hated on it couldn’t actually afford the medicine, used mainly for treating diabetes.
“There are a ways to lose weight, why not do it through something that isn’t as boring as working out? People hate on it because they want to do it, and the people who hate on it the most are the people who are secretly doing it or pissed off that they can’t afford it”.
Ozempic Shortage for Prescriptions
Despite the fact that Ozempic has become popular amongst celebrities for loosing weight, plastic surgeons say it was never meant for people who are near their ideal weight, and it’s not approved by the FDA for casual weight loss.
“Yeah, I have diabetes. All the pharmacies within, maybe 50 miles of me were out of stock at one point last year. I really hate seeing these size 4 celebrities getting down to a size 0, when I’m trying to control my blood sugar.” an user wrote on reddit.
This injectable medicine is used once a week and was created to manage blood sugar for type 2 diabetes.
