In a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Kelly Osbourne, aged 39, expressed her fervent hope to evade cancer despite her family’s medical history.
“I’m crossing my fingers that cancer never finds its way to me,” she remarked with a hint of humor. “I’ve probably preserved myself enough with all the drugs and alcohol. I’m practically pickled.”
Her brother Jack didn’t hesitate to challenge her unconventional belief. “I don’t think it quite works like that,” he retorted, adding, “But hey, I’m no doctor.”

Osbourne made a poignant reference to the familial link with colorectal cancer, citing her mother Sharon’s battle with the disease in the early 2000s. “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” she quipped.
Dr. Greg, an ER doctor guest on the show, injected sarcasm into the conversation, remarking, “I, for one, have never heard of substances you put into your body causing ill effects of any kind.”

Drug and Alcohol Abuse
Kelly Osbourne has been candid about her struggles with substance abuse throughout the years. Reflecting on her journey, she disclosed how her addiction originated from being prescribed opioid medication at the tender age of 13 following surgery.
“I kept getting sick, had a terrible case of tonsillitis, and ended up with some intense surgery. Then they gave me Vicodin,” she recounted on an episode of Red Table Talk. “And that was it.”
The former Fashion Police star elaborated on her downward spiral, sharing how she transitioned from Vicodin to Percocet, and eventually to heroin due to its affordability.
Despite periods of sobriety, Osbourne confessed to relapsing after nearly four years. She acknowledged the lifelong battle ahead, admitting, “This is something I am going to grapple with forever. It’s never going to be a walk in the park.”
