After it was revealed that the Friends actor’s cause of death was related to the acute effects of ketamine consumption, authorities have focused their attention on discovering how the celebrity had access to the drug in large quantities without requiring a medical prescription.
According to People magazine, one of the most relevant lines of investigation for the authorities considers that more than one celebrity could be related to Perry’s death, which would mean the discovery of a drug trafficking network within Hollywood… this is a theory that of course doesn’t sound so far-fetched.
A Famous Woman Linked to Matthew Perry’s Death
Although it is known that the Los Angeles Police Department and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration have questioned several friends and celebrities close to Matthew Perry, including his ex-wife Brooke Mueller, it has emerged that the investigation seems to be focusing, for the moment, in the name of a famous woman.
According to what was revealed to Page Six, the authorities would be looking at an actress who had shared the screen with Perry in the past due to the discovery of a photograph of the famous woman and the actor together in the office of a doctor known for prescribing ketamine.
“I am 100 percent sure the feds will find the text messages between the two that will expose a lot of information that could help their investigation,” said a Police Officer.
In addition, another thing that the police are investigating is the fact that Matthew Perry could have obtained prescription medications by mail through this drug trafficking network, so if the above is proven, those involved could face charges of involuntary manslaughter and a sentence of up to five years in prison.
What Was Matthew Perry’s Cause of Death?
Matthew Perry died at age 54 on October 28, 2023, apparently drowning in a hot tub.
The emergency service went to the famous man’s home after receiving a call about a possible cardiac arrest, but upon arrival, they found the actor’s body lifeless inside the jacuzzi and although at first there was speculation about suicide, that theory was ruled out from the beginning.
A few months later, the toxicology examination revealed that Matthew had died under “the acute effects of Ketamine,” a substance used to treat depression and anxiety.
It should be noted that no evidence of alcohol, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, PCP or fentanyl was found in his body.
