Zachary Quinto, famous for playing “Spock” in the new Star Trek saga, was banned from a restaurant in Toronto, Canada, after allegedly yelling at the staff of the restaurant and making their host cry.
“An amazing Spock, but a terrible customer,” the Manita restaurant wrote in a message through its Instagram account.
According to the publication, Quinto “yelled at the staff like a spoiled child after failing to respond to two text messages to inform them that his table was ready and refused to believe that the empty tables in the dining room were not available to him despite being politely informed that they were booked.“
They also shared on their stories that the actor “made our host cry and made the rest of our brunch diners uncomfortable.”

The restaurant ended the post by stating: “Mr. Quinto, take your bad vibes elsewhere, many charming celebrities visit us in Manita, but you are NOT one of them.”

Although the complaint was published via Instagram stories, the restaurant published a full statement today (June 3), re-sharing the stories and defending its staff and team as well as the other starters, who were affected by the hostility of the 47-year-old actor.
The statement reads:
Zachary Quinto.
This isn’t the first time, nor will it be the last time an irate guest has taken their frustrations out on our staff.
Manita is deeply grateful for our mostly incredible, friendly, gracious guests … who may give us constructive feedback from time to time.
To all the other Zachary Quintos out there, on behalf of restaurant workers everywhere:
We aren’t above criticism, but we are above being demeaned.

The Star Trek actor, who celebrated his birthday on June 2, declined to comment to U.S. tabloids. For its part, the restaurant received the support of people from all over the world for defending itself against these attitudes.
