With a score of 14.166, the Brazilian gymnast surpassed the legendary Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles who has also begun to make history at the Olympic Games.
Rebeca has also won 2 silver medals on apparatus and a bronze in the team competition.
This victory has made her the most decorated Olympian from Brazil, with a total of six Olympic medals throughout her career.

Rebeca Andrade’s History
Rebeca Andrade was born on May 8, 1999 in Guarulhos, São Paulo, Brazil. She grew up in a favela, facing many economic difficulties.
She is the daughter of Rosa Santos, a domestic worker, and has six siblings. Her family is one of her main emotional supports.

Her beginnings in gymnastics began with her practicing gymnastics at age 4 thanks to a social program at a municipal gym. She won her first Brazil Trophy at age 13 and moved to Rio de Janeiro to train.
In her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020, she won her first gold medal in women’s gymnastics for Brazil on vault, and also a silver medal in the individual all-around competition.
