Fiona Harvey, known for having inspired the character of Martha in the Netflix series ‘Baby Reindeer‘, is once again the center of conversation, because now she’s not only accused of having harassed the comedian Richard Gadd, but also an English politician.
George Galloway, the controversial former member of the British Parliament, recently revealed in an interview on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” that Fiona harassed him tirelessly during the 1980s.
According to Galloway’s testimony, Harvey called him hundreds of times and even dared to appear hundreds of times at his office and other places where he was with his family and friends.
“Everywhere I turned she was there. At first I thought that she fancied me. But it turned out that she fancied my job. She was a relentless and physical, up-close-and-personal stalker of mine. I am ready to testify.”
EXCLUSIVE: George Galloway reveals he was stalked by Fiona Harvey decades ago.
“Everywhere I turned, she was there… she called me 100s of times and she showed up probably 100s of times.”

However, he and Gadd wouldn’t be the only ones to suffer harassment from Fiona Harvey, as the politician and now broadcaster claimed that lawyers Laura and Jimmy Wray, both former Labor members of Parliament, were also victims.
Fiona Harvey, the inspiration behind “Baby Reindeer,” responds
Fiona Harvey’s legal team was quick to respond to Galloway’s accusations and through a small press release commented the following:
“The statements of George Galloway, a former member of parliament with his own agenda, which vaguely and generally claim that Ms. Harvey stalked him “hundreds of times” forty years ago, has nothing whatsoever to do with what Netflix did to Ms. Harvey in 2024.”

Despite the response from Fiona’s lawyers, this twist in the story of the woman who inspired the character of Martha in “Baby Reindeer” could completely change the course of the defamation lawsuit that she recently filed against Netflix.
In the lawsuit, Harvey decided to take the streaming giant to court, alleging that the series seriously defames her, portraying her as an obsessed stalker, which has affected not only her reputation, but also her personal life.
