Actor’s Legacy on Addiction Battle
The Matthew Perry Foundation of Canada was created to honor Perry’s commitment to aiding those battling addiction. The foundation aims to provide comprehensive support, including housing, counseling, and job training, for individuals living with substance use disorders.
Caitlin Morrison, who serves as the executive director, shared that working with the foundation feels like “sitting right next to Matthew, working with him every day on something that was important to him”
Keith Morrison, Perry’s stepfather, also reflected on the actor’s legacy, emphasizing that Perry wanted to be remembered for his efforts to help others rather than his fame from “Friends”. He also made clear that the family is ready for the upcoming trial on 2025.

“What I’m hoping, and I think the agencies that got involved in this are hoping, that people who have put themselves in the business of supplying people with the drugs that will kill them are now on notice,” Keith Morrison added. “It doesn’t matter what your professional credentials are, you are going down, baby.”
Despite the family’s ongoing grief, they are determined to continue Perry’s mission and make a positive impact in his memory.
