We can’t deny it, Disney was part of the lives of thousands of children who grew up at the same time as celebrities like Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, the Jonas Brothers and of course, Miley Cyrus.
Nothing can make us happier than seeing one of the celebrities who accompanied us during our childhood win one of the most exciting awards.
And that was the case of Miley Cyrus, who was named Disney Legend during the ceremony at D23 thanks to her role as Hannah Montana, the popular show that was key to Disney Channel‘s rise to fame.

The studio announced Miley as the winner of the award with a beautiful video recapitulating the singer’s most iconic moments, and accompanied the images with ‘The Climb’, a song she performed in ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’

“This award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her amazing, loyal fans, and to everyone who has made my dream a reality. To quote the legend herself, This Is The Life.”
During her acceptance speech, Cyrus couldn’t contain her emotion and told how she was chosen by Disney to star in one of the most important shows of the 2000s.
At just 31 years old, the actress and singer became the youngest person to receive this important award and we know that there is no doubt that she deserves it, the joy spread everywhere and the message that the winner of the award gave brought tears to all of us, not just to her.

Miley Cyrus’ Iconic Time at Disney
The 31-year-old artist recalled with tears in her eyes how her casting for Hannah Montana was and everything that it meant to join the company almost twenty years ago.
Her time at Disney was full of recordings, films, concerts and also one or two controversies, in fact she took advantage of the space on the D23 stage to remember her first concert.
“In reality I was a little girl in a blonde wig at the mall with a big dream. But in my heart I was Hannah Montana and I was so proud to be,” she said.
Miley gave life to the iconic Hannah from 2005 until the program ended in 2011, during those 6 years, the show became incredibly popular, one of the reasons that led the actress to win the iconic award.
We are super proud and excited for Miley Cyrus and this ceremony definitely revived the best moments of our childhood.
