Most of us grew up watching Josh Peck as the good-natured and innocent brother in Drake and Josh. However, recently, a detail came to light that undoubtedly impressed us because the actor was very close to portraying Edward Cullen in Twilight. Yes, just as you read it, our adolescence was on the verge of being completely different from what it was, as Josh was among the final actors considered for the famous vampire.
As part of his podcast Good Guys, apropos of the visit of actor Taylor Lautner, who played Jacob in the popular saga, Peck dropped the unexpected news that nobody expected to hear.

Josh Peck’s Audition for Edward Cullen in Twilight
Josh Peck revealed that between 2006 and 2007, a friend convinced him to audition for Twilight, not for just any role but for one of the leading roles. The 36-year-old actor decided to record himself acting out some of Edward Cullen’s dialogues and send his tape to the casting team of the film.
A few days later, and surprisingly, his manager contacted him to deliver the good news. He had made it to the final round of selection, and the production was choosing between him and three other guys, including Robert Pattinson. “I was like, ‘Seriously?’ I hadn’t even had liposuction yet. I thought, there’s no way, Edward is always shirtless. It’s not going to happen,” he said.
However, as we all know, Peck didn’t land the role, as Robert ended up being the chosen one. Nevertheless, the anecdote is truly surprising, as the decision could have completely changed his life and ours.
