Un fotógrafo de cine hace mucho más que sostener una cámara: es el que se encarga de modelar y perfilar la estética de una cinta, de dar el ambiente adecuado, las luces adecuadas, de seleccionar los mejores ángulos y mantener una línea en todo el filme; todo a la par de un análisis profundo del guión, la historia y los personajes. En resumen, se trata de una actividad artística que muchas veces pasa inadvertida, porque no nos damos cuenta de que al menos el 50 % recae en su labor y manejo de los planos estéticos. De hecho, en muchas de las veces, si no fuera por el fotógrafo, no habría filme alguno.
Los planos que presentaremos en esta lista son muestra de lo anterior, ya que son imágenes que se quedan de manera permanente en nuestros recuerdos, tanto así que si las miramos, de inmediato sabemos a qué cinta pertenecen.
